Our Culture of Continuous Improvement
At Two Barrels, we don’t just shove you into a corner and tell you to “figure it out.” We’ve got a whole squad—a full-on Training Crew—dedicated to making sure you get the development opportunities you need. These folks design workshops, courses, and more to help you level up your skills, whether you’re diving deeper into your role or preparing for something new.
Our Training Crew hosts everything from Critical Thinking workshops to classes like Owning Your Business and Time Management. Basically, you’ll be able to level up in any area you want. Got your eye on a promotion? Cool. Want to get better at your current job? Easy. Want to become the office’s next big project leader? Let’s make it happen. We’re consistently adding new sections of courses when existing ones fill up, and we’re always creating new courses when there’s a call for them.
And then there are our Self Development Guides. These detailed guides lay out exactly what you need to get from where you are now to where you see your future self. Want to be a Frontend Developer or Project Coordinator? There’s a guide for that. Thinking of switching things up and becoming a Graphic Designer? We’ve got that covered, too. These guides are built by our hiring managers, and they’ll help you prepare for your next career move, whenever you’re ready.
Also, we’ve got a new book club. We’re reading books that actually matter—titles that help you become a better colleague, leader, or creator. We don’t have anything like the latest installment of ACOTAR on the list (yet), but we do bring in titles that will tell you how to be a better teammate or how to meet your goals. The best part about it is that we get together digitally each month to argue about discuss what we learned from the book.

Personal Alignment
With teams that are spread across four or more time zones, we’re really committed to keeping communication open and flowing. One thing everyone at Two Barrels will eventually encounter is the annual performance and career alignment. Now, before you roll your eyes at what sounds like corporate HR jargon, let me assure you—it’s actually kind of awesome.
Here’s how it works: three times a year, we sit down with you and talk about you. Your achievements, your goals, what you’re crushing, and what you’re struggling with. It’s your chance to align what you’re doing with where you want to go. We don’t just stop there, though. Throughout the year, we keep the conversation going with regular one-on-one meetings with your leader. And yes, we actually call them “leaders.” Because “boss” is so 1999. We want you to know what success looks like to us, and we want to know what success looks like to you.
And if you’re thinking, “Great, but what about promotions?” Like we said above: we love hiring internally. But we also want to make sure you’re set up for success. That means making sure you’ve nailed your current role, that the new role is available (we can’t just invent jobs… yet), and that you’re ready for it.
